It combines historic New England character with breathtaking views that stretch all the way to Mount Washington on a clear day.

The adults-only boutique bed-and-breakfast sits on six peaceful acres overlooking forests, fields, and the rolling hills.

Owners Tatiana and Gino Michelizza renovated the historic farm and opened in 2020.

“We are very intentional about creating an experience for the guests,” Tatiana said.

The couple offers their guests breakfast, homemade bread, charcuterie boards, pizza, and gelato. Tatiana is from Italy, and Gino is first-generation Italian, so their food offers an Italian flair.

“Even in the summertime, if guests don’t feel like going out, they can come down in their robes and slippers… and eat… either on their deck or on their property,” added Tatiana.

Top of the Ridge also offers cooking classes that are open to the public.

There are four guestrooms, all with stunning views of the mountains.

One of the guestrooms is dog-friendly. Their dog, Moose, is on hand to greet guests.

Tatiana has a side business that smells heavenly. She makes soaps, bath salts, lotions, and more. She calls it Panta Rae, which means “everything flows” in Greek.

“I use a lot of natural and botanical powders as well as Goat’s milk and Sheep’s milk.”

Top of the Ridge Farm stretches across 6 acres, located near several popular hiking spots, including Mount Major in Alton.

During winter months, guests enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the property. Fall is especially busy during foliage season.

“We have a lot of modern touches, but we kept the history of this farmhouse, built in 1760. We kept the farmhouse vibe,” Tatiana said.

Gino heads up the kitchen duties but also keeps the inn in tip-top shape. It took the couple more than four years to restore the old farm.

“Never in a million years did I think I would own a bed and breakfast, but I love it,” Gino said.

So, when you want to really get away from it all, Top of the Ridge offers stunning views, great meals, and all the comforts of home, an inviting spot that encourages folks to relax and enjoy the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
