POCATELLO — All Under One Roof LGBT Advocates of Southeastern Idaho, in cooperation with Historic Old Town Pocatello Inc., and Trinity Episcopal Church, raised $2,100 for the Idaho Foodbank during the holiday season. This effort, organized as “A Holiday Season Without Hunger,” sold red ribbon Christmas tree decorations for $1 each.
On Jan. 8 the board of directors of All Under One Roof presented the Idaho Foodbank and its representative, Rebecca Ristrem, with a check for $2,100. Every dollar donated to the Idaho Foodbank can be used to purchase three nutritious meals. With this donation, 6,300 meals will be provided to those in need in the area.
This effort would not have been possible without the merchants and organizations in Pocatello that set up trees in their locations and offered the red ribbons for sale. All Under One Roof sends their sincere thanks and appreciation to Cynthia Louise Boutique, East Idaho Home Interiors, Great Harvest Bread Company, Hairmasters and Company, Kevin Lish Insurance, Main Street Coffee, Molinelli’s Jewelers, Mustard Seed Dreams Yarn Boutique, Pocatello Co-op Natural Foods Market, Pocatello Family Medicine, Portneuf Valley Brewing and Southeastern Health District, as well as Historic Old Town Pocatello Inc., and Trinity Episcopal Church.
Kevin Lish, board president of All Under One Roof said, “This donation is only possible thanks to the wonderful businesses and groups who participated in raising the money, as well as the generous and caring people here in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area who purchased our ribbon decorations. Because of your kindness, many hungry children, families, senior citizens and veterans throughout Southeast Idaho will not have to face an empty plate.”
