There were seven restaurants in the Shreveport–Bossier area that had three or more critical health violations during recent inspections from Aug. 24 to 30.
The Louisiana Department of Health’s retail food health inspections dashboard includes a history of each establishment’s inspection reports, allowing residents and visitors of Louisiana to make informed decisions as consumers, according to their website. Inspections are a “snapshot” in time and do not always reflect the day-to-day operations and overall condition of an establishment.
This site is updated daily, but there is a seven-day delay before inspections are posted.
According to the website, violations fall into two main categories, critical and noncritical. Critical violations, if left uncorrected, are more likely to directly contribute to food contamination or illness. Noncritical violations are not directly related to the cause of food-borne illness, but if left uncorrected, could become critical.
