NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE —Businesses in downtown Nashville are enjoying the festivities–and the benefits–of the city’s ‘Let Freedom Sing’ July 4th festival.
The event regularly draws more than 200,000 people, and a record-breaking 365,000 attended in 2025, which generated a record $23.8 million in estimated direct visitor spending.
Restaurants like Pinewood Social say they usually see less business than usual early in the day, but the evenings make the Fourth of July one of their busiest days of the year.
Pinewood Social’s Executive Chef Colin King said the restaurant planned around the festival. They closed early and reopened for a reservation-only party later in the afternoon, which sold out quickly.
“Typically we would be busier right now on a Saturday for brunch” said King, “but I think everybody’s getting ready for the festivities being later tonight. So we’ll see some of our regular business during the day but then, we’ll really kick off tonight so we’ll see actually a good increase of business due to the Fourth.”
This is the 23rd annual Nashville 4th of July celebration produced by Music City Inc. through the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp, and the 42nd in the city.
