Crews battled a fire at a Brooklyn restaurant Saturday.
The FDNY says they received a call just before 5:30 p.m. reporting a fire at a building located on North Fifth Street between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street.
“I saw a big cloud of fire basically burst out of … the restaurant Juliette,” one witness said.
According to fire officials, three restaurants occupy the building, and the fire extended through the space between the ceiling and the roof from one restaurant into the two adjoining restaurants.
At the time of the fire, the impacted restaurants were evacuated.

FDNY officials say there was a smoke explosion at one point, along with a localized collapse on the roof. The blaze grew to four alarms with over 200 fire and EMS personnel responding, fire officials say.
“Like the chaos that ensued, like just crowds started coming,” another witness said. “There were so many people inside, coming in and out.”
Crews got the fire under control just after 8:30 p.m., the FDNY says.
Six firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment, officials say. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Department of Buildings officials were on the scene to assess structural damage.
