Earth at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport and White Barn Inn in Kennebunk have been named to OpenTable’s “Top 100 Hotel Restaurants in America.”
Two Maine hotel restaurants have earned spots on OpenTable’s 2026 list of the “Top 100 Hotel Restaurants in America,” showcasing Kennebunk and Kennebunkport as destinations known for standout hotel dining.
The Maine restaurants recognized are Earth at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport and White Barn Inn in Kennebunk. The annual list draws on more than 10 million verified diner reviews and other metrics collected by the restaurant reservation platform between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026.
About the restaurants
Earth at Hidden Pond offers a farm-to-table menu that emphasizes seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and the property’s own gardens. The restaurant is part of the Hidden Pond resort in Kennebunkport, which opened in 2011. Earth at Hidden Pond has also been featured on OpenTable’s list of “America’s Top 100 Romantic Restaurants.”
White Barn Inn, located in Kennebunk, is known for its fine dining and contemporary New England cuisine served in a historic barn. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Mary Dumont.
Travel trends
The recognition comes as hotel restaurants are becoming a bigger factor in travelers’ plans, according to OpenTable. The company said that dining at hotel restaurants by travelers is up 13% year over year, while overall hotel restaurant dining has climbed by 7%.
OpenTable also reported that 61% of Americans have chosen a travel destination because of its food or restaurant scene, while 60% of respondents planning to travel this summer said they have booked a hotel specifically because of its restaurant.
