A national chicken salad restaurant chain based out of Atlanta, Ga., is looking to expand to the Tri-State area with two locations.
Chicken Salad Chick announced on LinkedIn that it plans to open a location in Huntington, W.Va., as well as Ashland, Ky.
The company said that husband and wife duo Tammy and Dr. Rancie Hannah signed on as “the newest members of the Chicken Salad Chick franchise family” and will develop both restaurants.
“The Hannahs are passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people feel cared for and welcomed. Their vision is simple and powerful: create a joyful, community-centered space that serves great food and meaningful connection – an uplifting gathering place that embodies the heart of Chicken Salad Chick,” the company said in the post. “We’re excited to support Tammy and Dr. Rancie as they begin development in Kentucky and West Virginia, and we’re proud to grow alongside such passionate franchise partners!”
Locations within those two cities and opening dates were not announced.
Chicken Salad Chick was founded in 2008 by Stacy and Kevin Brown in Auburn, Ala. The chain has more than 300 locations across over 20 states. Currently, the closest location to the Huntington-Ashland area is in Lexington, Ky., according to the company’s map of locations. The Huntington location will also be the first for Chicken Salad Chick in the state of West Virginia.
