New Orleans Mid-City restaurant Smoke & Honey closing after three years
NEW ORLEANS —
A Mid-City restaurant will close this week after three years in business.
Smoke & Honey announced on its social media pages that the restaurant will close after service on Sunday.
The restaurant was known for its Greek and Jewish cuisine and opened a brick-and-mortar in January 2024.
The owners shared a statement on social media Monday, encouraging their patrons to visit one last time this week before closing the doors:
“Building Smoke & Honey, getting to know and share memories with this cherished community, and contribute to the joy, family, and friends of New Orleans has been one of the greatest honors of my life. After careful thought, it’s time to close the doors on our brick & mortar. To celebrate the space, we’re throwing down on a big lamb party this weekend the 26th & 27th and going out the only way I know how…with a lamb and an ouzo. And come visit us this week: Wednesday-Sunday as we wrap it up. Love you all so big. Thank you for all the love & support. I hope this New Year brings the sweetness of honey.”
