Chick-fil-A announced plans today to open nine new locally owned and operated restaurants across Western Pennsylvania by the end of 2028.
The expansion is expected to create approximately 1,080 jobs in the region.
As part of the expansion, Chick-fil-A Inc. will donate $25,000 to a Feeding America partner food bank or affiliate for each new restaurant opened. The company has donated $585,000 to local hunger relief efforts across Pennsylvania since 2020.
Chick-fil-A opened its first Western Pennsylvania restaurant at Westmoreland Mall in 1979 and currently operates 20 locations across the region, with the most recent opening in Uniontown in 2025.
The new locations will extend from Pennsylvania’s western border with Ohio to the Interstate 99 corridor and south to the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
North of Pittsburgh
