LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — If your social feed is full of mouthwatering food finds, weekend road trips and those “wait, that’s in Arkansas?” hidden gems, there’s now a way to give those creators a little extra love.
Arkansas Life is hosting the Arkansas Creator Awards to celebrate Arkansans who are making the state “worth a follow,” according to Rebecca Davis, brand ambassador for Arkansas Life.
Davis said Arkansas Life wanted to spotlight the people behind the posts, the ones visiting great restaurants, showing up at local events and highlighting places viewers may have forgotten about or never seen, including spots like Jasper, Arkansas.
While Arkansas Life focuses on Central Arkansas, the awards are open statewide. Davis said creators from Northwest Arkansas, Southeast Arkansas and everywhere in between are encouraged to participate.
And you don’t need a huge audience to be considered. Davis said creators can be nominated whether they have 200 followers or 2,000 followers, and people can also nominate themselves.
Nominations are open until Wednesday 23rd, with entries accepted until midnight. Davis said viewers can nominate a favorite creator, or “just anybody that’s out there making Arkansas worth a follow.”
Davis also gave a shoutout to a creator she follows, Arkie Travel, saying she was one of the early accounts that helped spark Davis’ interest in creating Arkansas-focused content.
