NEW YORK—MGallery Collection announced its debut in New York City with the signing of Ink 48, a hotel overlooking the Hudson River in Manhattan. Following the signing, the hotel will begin an extensive renovation and enhancement program designed to elevate the guest experience while preserving the property’s character. During this transition period, Ink 48 will continue to operate independently before officially joining MGallery Collection as the brand’s U.S. flagship hotel in 2028 and being managed by Rebel Hotel Company.
Located in Hell’s Kitchen on Manhattan’s West Side, steps from the Hudson River and within reach of Times Square, Hudson Yards, and Broadway, Ink 48 is a landmark lifestyle hotel known for its views over the New York skyline and waterfront. The property includes 222 guestrooms, including 17 suites, a rooftop bar, restaurant, and meeting facilities.
Statements From Leadership
“New York City is one of the world’s most influential travel destinations, and welcoming Ink 48 into the MGallery Collection represents a significant step forward for our brand in North America,” Maud Bailly, CEO, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems. “The hotel already enjoys a strong identity and a prime location, and through MGallery’s focus on storytelling, design and memorable guest experiences, we will further enhance its character while introducing our distinctive hospitality vision to guests visiting the city from around the world. As our preeminent flagship MGallery in the United States, Ink 48 will play an important role in increasing brand awareness and supporting our continued expansion across the region.”
“We are delighted to partner with Accor to bring Ink48 into the MGallery Collection,” said Andres Ramirez, head of asset management, Capstone Equities. “Ink48 has always stood apart in Manhattan’s hotel landscape, a property with a genuine sense of place and a loyal following. MGallery is the ideal brand to build on that: a collection defined by individuality rather than uniformity, allowing us to elevate the guest experience and the hotel’s positioning while preserving what our guests value most about it.”
“We take a long view on the assets we own, and Ink48 has always had the fundamentals to justify it,” said Henry Zavriyev, president and CEO, Leyad. “Aligning the hotel with a collection like MGallery is a natural progression, and having Capstone and Accor as partners gives us confidence in how it will be executed. This is a milestone we’ve been working toward for some time.”
