MONROE, N.C. (WBTV) – Pizza Hut is taking things back in time in the form of 155 “classic” restaurants across the United States.
Yum!, Pizza Hut’s parent company, made the announcement in a May 20 news release.
Of the 155 restaurants that will become classics, nine are in North Carolina and two are in South Carolina. One of them is in the Charlotte area, along Highway 74 in Monroe.
According to the news release, classic Pizza Hut locations will bring back red cups, checkered tablecloths, vinyl booths, Tiffany-style lamps, arcade games, and yes — the signature red roofs.
Unfortunately, there was no word on if the dessert pizza or buffet would be making a comeback.
