WISHEK, N.D. — Wishek Sausage, a popular German smoked sausage line produced here, will soon be available at grocery stores across the Upper Midwest.
“We are so incredibly excited to announce that Wishek Sausage will SOON be wholesale ready and will be available ALL OVER North Dakota, and eventually, across the upper Midwest!!!!
“Our legendary brand will be moving into a BRAND NEW BUILDING, featuring an image that will pay tribute to our roots at Stan’s Red Owl,” read Sunday, Aug. 23, Facebook and
Instagram posts.
With roots dating back to 1909, the sausage has been produced and sold at Stan’s Super Market and shipped around the world for 60 years. In 2024, the company began holding “meat-ups” in communities across North Dakota, quickly
selling out of the 12,000 pounds they brought
on their first stop in Fargo.
The announcement also revealed plans to expand across the Midwest, including (but not limited to) Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota and Montana. Plans are also underway through a partnership with Pride of Dakota ND “to establish cold-chain distribution logistics to bring your favorite German sausage all the way down to Arizona.”
