In this weekly feature, we’re celebrating the best of Colorado Springs’ food and drink scene ー as determined by voters in the 2026 Best of the Springs (thebestofthesprings.com). We’ll throw in our own recommendation, too.

Gold: Little Nepal
Little Nepal has been racking up the highest Best of the Springs honors for the better part of 20 years now. Clearly, voters can’t get enough of these curries, masalas, samosas and momos. Silver: Pakwan Indian Restaurant and Bar
You might be able to smell the aroma from the adjacent King Soopers parking lot, drawing you into an elevated atmosphere to match the dishes. Samosa Chaat is popular here ー crispy pastries stuffed with potatoes, peas and spices and coated in a garbanzo curry. Bronze: Urban Tandoor
Urban Tandoor opened in 2019 at the direction of Kanwal Singh and Raymond Sandhu, self-described “food-loving entrepreneurs who grew up surrounded by the rich traditions of Indian cooking.” To bring those traditions to the Springs, they knew to bring in highly trained, well-traveled chefs. Our recommendation: Sherpa Garden Restaurant & Bar
The little spot on the west side boasts big flavors, including Tibetan noodles and fried rice. You can get your Sherpa stew fix, too ー veggies, potatoes and dough cooked in a perfectly spiced broth. Saag, a creamed spinach with hints of garlic, ginger and cumin, is another specialty. 1005 W. Colorado Ave.
Urban Tandoor, 8125 N. Academy Blvd., features the “Vegetarian Jalfrezi with Punjabi Dal Tadka, Bhindi Do Pyaaza and Manitou Incline Naan.” (The Gazette file)
