Ranked among North America’s 50 Best Bars, Double Chicken Please will take over Ardor for two nights with signature cocktails and a collaborative food menu
One of New York City’s most celebrated cocktail bars will make its West Coast debut next month when Double Chicken Please brings a two-night pop-up to Ardor in West Hollywood.
The pop-up runs Aug. 13 and 14 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., transforming the California cuisine restaurant into a showcase for the award-winning bar’s inventive cocktails. Co-Founder and general manager Faye Chen will mix drinks on-site throughout the event.
Chen and co-founder GN Chan launched Double Chicken Please as a traveling cocktail concept in 2017, serving drinks from a yellow minibus before opening a permanent location in New York in 2020. Today, the bar ranks No. 35 on North America’s 50 Best Bars list and has earned an international following for pairing culinary techniques with creative cocktails.
For the Los Angeles collaboration, Double Chicken Please teamed up with Ardor on a menu featuring its signature Hot Honey chicken alongside six speciality cocktails: the Tomajito, Papaya Salad, DMV, Gilded Orchard, Holy Shishito and Dorayaki.
Manager of Brand Marketing and PR Communication Tako Chang recommends guests begin with the refreshing, citrus-forward Tomajito because it is “the perfect way to awaken the palate.” From there, Chang suggests the Papaya Salad, which “introduces a touch of savory umami from the fish sauce,” followed by the DMV, a Dirty Martini-inspired Vesper, before finishing with the whisky-forward Dorayaki for what Chang describes as a “satisfying close.”

While the pop-up is scheduled for two nights, Chang says the team hopes it won’t be the last visit to Los Angeles.
“You’d never know! If it’s the right timing and within our manpower bandwidth, we definitely would love to see everyone in LA more often.”
Guests can reserve dinner through OpenTable, while bar seating will remain available for walk-ins during the two-night event.
