(Des Moines, IA) — Tonight might be a good night to eat out.
17 Des Moines restaurants will be donating 10 percent of their sales today. The proceeds will go to the Des Moines Public Schools Foundation.
The money raised goes to a district program that awards grants to school projects. There’s extra credit for diners who share their selfies to spread the word.
The first “Dine Out for DMPS” event held in March raised nearly $8,000.
