Connecticut town is getting a food hall with Bobby Flay, Michael Symon menus

West Hartford diners will soon may order a Bobby Flay rib-eye, Greek meatballs from Chios Taverna by Michael Symon and dishes from other celebrity chefs at some 20 different restaurants gathered in one new eatery.

Wonder, a food hall concept, is planned to open Aug. 13 in West Hartford at 91 Memorial Road in Blue Back Square, according to a representative for the development. A ribbon cutting will take place Aug. 12, at 5:30 p.m.

This will be the 10th virtual dining hall-style eatery for the chain in the state, according to Wonder’s website. 

Customers order online or via the Wonder app and pick up at their local Wonder eatery or opt to get delivery. Inside Wonder locations, there are touch screens at kiosks for walk-in customers to order as well.

Recipes from signature dishes by celebrity chefs and famous restaurants that have partnered with Wonder are executed with consistency, the New Haven Register previously reported.

Dishes ranges from Detroit-style buffalo chicken pizza by the Detroit Brick Pizza Co. to customizable burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads from Limesalt, a Mexican eatery.

For little ones there is Bellies – Wonder’s own in-house restaurant concept of a “kid’s only” menu for the “pickiest” palates, according to a Wonder social media post.

From regional food distribution centers, food is delivered to each location seven days a week, according to Pat Cartier, director of marketing at Wonder. Bowls, salads and burgers are made to order and customizable at each location, he said.

Currently, there are nine Wonder locations open including in Darien, Danbury, Fairfield, Milford, New Haven, Newington, Stamford, Trumbull and Westport, according to the website. 

Also planned to open this month are Wonder restaurants in Hamden at 2100 Dixwell Ave. and Canton at 110 Albany Turnpike, inside The Shops at Farmington Valley, the website said.
