Grocery stores across Oklahoma are prepared to meet community needs as shoppers stock up for an impending winter storm, with smaller towns ensuring their shelves remain stocked with essentials.

“Your bread, your milk, your eggs — buying a lot of cereal, lunch meat,” said Morgan Wilson, store manager at Market Square.
She acknowledged that while they ran a little low on milk, they did not run out, thanks to a shipment that arrived Thursday morning to replenish their stock.
In rural areas like Hinton, shoppers are traveling from as far as 30 miles away after finding some big-box stores running low on supplies.
“Everyone says they’re wiped out, but we’re not having that issue here,” Wilson said.
