Students at the University of South Florida can snag deals at eight spots around Tampa Bay. Just flash a valid student ID. Options include free museum entry, hockey tickets for $18, and food savings, according to That’s So Tampa.
The Tampa Bay Lightning sell $18 student rush tickets for USF students who have a valid USF email address. These tickets are standing room only in four designated spots surrounding the rink. Students from other colleges can buy tickets for $20 if they have valid .edu email addresses. The Lightning will play their first home game of the 2026-2027 season on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The Tampa Museum of Art provides free entry for college students. Show a valid student ID at the front desk. The museum sits on the Riverwalk downtown.
The Dalí Museum in downtown St. Pete charges $22 for college students with valid student IDs. USF St. Pete students get in free. The museum houses the largest collection of Salvador Dalí’s art outside of Europe.
Busch Gardens sells a College Pass for $82.99. This pass gives unlimited entry until May 31, 2027, includes free parking, and offers 10% off food, drinks, and merchandise. The theme park sits four minutes from the Tampa campus. Students can take the free BullRunner bus straight from USF to Busch Gardens.
The Straz Center for the Performing Arts offers student discounts on select shows and exhibits. Students must redeem discounts in person at the ticket office with a valid student ID. Current discounts apply to The Art of Banksy exhibit, which runs until Sept. 27, and ‘Twas the Night Before by Cirque du Soleil from Nov. 18 through 29.
Three restaurants near campus offer percentage discounts. Cold Stone Creamery on Fowler provides 15% off with a student ID at checkout — the location sits three minutes from campus. Nails at New Tampa gives 15% off services with a student ID at a location 12 minutes north of campus. Romeo Tea on Fowler offers 10% off boba tea orders.
