Yesway sets grand opening date for first Allsup’s convenience store in Arizona

Yesway is opening its first Allsup’s convenience store in Arizona on Oct. 2, the Fort Worth, Texas-based c-store chain announced Thursday. 

The latest Allsup’s store will be located at 1151 N. Virginia Ave. in Willcox. Following the Arizona store’s grand opening, Yesway will operate 453 stores across 10 states. 

Arizona is an important component of Yesway’s broader new-store development strategy, which is concentrated in Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. Yesway Chairman, President and CEO Thomas Trkla said in the company’s second-quarter 2026 earnings call in August that it was on track to open six to eight new stores in 2026. Yesway previously announced plans to open 130 stores over five years. 

Yesway views Arizona as a natural extension of its Southwestern footprint, and an attractive market for growth given the state’s expanding communities, favorable fuel market dynamics, significant development opportunities and strong fit with the Allsup’s brand and foodservice offering, the company said. 

“Opening our first Allsup’s store in Arizona is an exceptionally exciting moment for our company and one of the most significant milestones in Yesway’s history since we founded the company in 2015,” Trkla said. “We could not be more pleased to bring Allsup’s to Arizona. We have long believed that Arizona represents an outstanding opportunity for our company, and we are delighted to finally introduce this iconic Southwestern brand to customers in the state.”

The Allsup’s operating model is well suited to Arizona’s rural and suburban communities, Trkla said. 

“We see tremendous long-term opportunity here,” he said. “This is not simply the opening of another store for Yesway; it represents the beginning of what we hope will become a significant and enduring presence in Arizona.”

The Willcox location will span 6,277 square feet and feature 10 multi-product fuel dispensers, five diesel lanes and 17 truck parking spaces. It will offer Allsup’s World Famous Burritos, Yesway private-label snacks, fresh food and grocery items, everyday essentials and more. 

Special deals will be offered on Oct. 2 for the grand opening. Customers can download the Yesway and Allsup’s Rewards App to save 25 cents per gallon throughout the grand opening weekend, and save an additional 10 cents per gallon on Oct. 2 with ValeroPay+. 

Yesway has developed and opened more than 90 new-to-industry stores over approximately the last five years. On Monday, it also announced the opening of a new Allsup’s store (pictured above) in Odessa, Texas. The store is 5,630 square feet and located at 16460 South Highway 385.
