WHAT: Founded in 1960, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland works to enable people to live independently at home through the provision of nutritious meals, personal contact and support services. Each year, the organization delivers over 1 million meals to more than 3,100 elderly Marylanders.

In recognition of September being Hunger Action Month, APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU®), a trusted, growing credit union serving Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford, and Cecil counties, will partner with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland to provide critical meals for people who are homebound and unable to shop or prepare their own meals due to age or disability. APGFCU employees will package meals for delivery to be distributed to Meals on Wheels clients in need in Baltimore and throughout central Maryland.

This volunteer project is the final event in APGFCU’s Hunger Action Month efforts, mobilizing employees for a month of hands-on service to help end hunger regionally. In September, more than 65 APGFCU employees will volunteer with four charitable organizations addressing food insecurity across Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford, and Cecil counties.
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, September 29, 9am-12pm
