SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The long-awaited grand opening of the new Chick-fil-A on Youree Drive is set for Friday, Aug. 14, 2026. Brian Russell, owner/operator of the Youree Drive franchise location, made the announcement in a Facebook post.
Chick-Fil-A fans will be without their favorite meals for several days, as the current restaurant will close on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., to allow crews to move into the new mega-restaurant next door.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all our incredible team members, but also our amazing guests because without y’all, none of this would be possible,” said Russell.
7 Brew approved to replace Chick-fil-A on Youree Drive
The new restaurant is located at 7004 Youree Dr., at the intersection of East 70th Street, which was home to the former CVS. The pharmacy was demolished in February of 2026 to allow construction to begin on the Chick-Fil-A.
On Monday, April 6, 2026, the Metropolitan Planning Commission approved plans for 7 Brew to relocate to the current Chick-fil-A location.
