David Beckham has stopped by. So has soccer superstar Erling Haaland. And now, music fans have another celebrity name to add to the list: Becky G.
The pop singer recently stopped at the Austin-born barbecue chain’s Barton Springs Road location while touring through Texas, just days after opening for Colombian reggaeton star Karol G in San Antonio.
During the San Antonio show, Becky G joined Karol G onstage for a performance of “MAMIII,” their 2022 collaboration. She also paid tribute to the late Tejano icon Selena with a rendition of “Dreaming of You.”
Terry Black’s shared a photo with Becky G on social media, welcoming the singer to the barbecue joint.
“Our doors are always open, but visits like this mean a little extra,” the restaurant wrote on Instagram. “Thank you, @iambeckyg, for stopping by, sharing the love, and making Terry Black’s a must-stop!”
Becky G, a California native, first broke through as a pop star with her 2014 hit “Shower.” Since then, she has built a career spanning pop, Latin music and collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Her Texas trip included more than barbecue and a concert stage. Becky G also hosted an event at Total Wine & More in Austin to launch a limited-edition Patrón Silver bottle as part of the Rainwater Project. In San Antonio, she made appearances at local institutions including Mi Tierra Café y Panadería in Market Square.
