In this weekly feature, we’re celebrating the best of Colorado Springs’ food and drink scene ー as determined by voters in the 2026 Best of the Springs (thebestofthesprings.com). We’ll throw in our own recommendation, too.

Gold: Ephemera

In the CO.A.T.I food hall, Ephemera is fittingly perched above the main floor. It’s elevated fare all right, creative and colorful and intricate like the surrounding space. The restaurant is proudly “experimental” and “multi-sensory,” with an a la carte menu inviting patrons to choose their own “epicurean adventure.” 514 S. Tejon St.

Silver: Four by Brother Luck

Many of the Springs’ great culinary minds have come out of this kitchen overseen by the city’s celebrity chef. Brother Luck has appeared on several Food Network shows. Behind the scenes, he has honored the four seasons and the Four Corners region at this downtown spot with an ever-evolving menu inspiring both creators and customers. 321 N. Tejon St.

Bronze: Mackenzie’s Chop House

Mackenzie’s has been a go-to steakhouse for nearly 30 years now. Regulars pick their favorite cuts from filet mignon, to New York strip, to prime rib and more. Some splurge on a side lobster tail and go Oscar Style: mashed potatoes, bearnaise sauce, asparagus and crab meat. 128 S. Tejon St.

Our recommendation: The Broadmoor

A list of fine dining in Colorado Springs is not complete without the first in finest, dating to Spencer Penrose’s Grande Dame of the Rockies opening in 1918. The Broadmoor continues to set the tone. What will it be? Italian by the lake at Ristorante Del Lago? Modern splendor at Summit? Surf and turf at La Taverne? Then there’s the latest and greatest: the scenic, reimagined Penrose Room. 1 Lake Ave.
