KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Police officers across East Tennessee are trading patrol duty for table service on Tuesday evening for a good cause.
Texas Roadhouse restaurants throughout Tennessee are partnering with law enforcement agencies for the second annual “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser on Tuesday, Sept. 29, running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
During the dinner rush, officers will join restaurant staff to help serve food, refill drinks, bus tables and greet diners.
Guests will have the opportunity to leave an extra “tip,” with 100% of all collected donations going directly to Special Olympics Tennessee to help fund competition, gear, and travel for fall sports athletes.
