Go-Pal Supermarket will open at the Inman Grove Shopping Center in Edison on Oct. 9, bringing a hybrid American and Indian grocery store to the 50,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Stop & Shop.
Owner Nick Patel said a ribbon cutting will take place at 9 a.m. to mark the opening of the completely renovated store, which has been vacant since Stop & Shop closed in 2024.
Patel described the store as offering “everything available at ShopRite along with a range of Indian items.”
The supermarket will feature a floral department, bakery and produce section. Departments will also include meat, dairy, frozen foods and seafood. The store will also offer full-service catering and deli, a full Indian kitchen and American ready-to-eat meals.
Online and phone ordering and pickup will be available.
A grand opening sale is planned, though details have not yet been announced. The store, located at 1125 Inman Ave., is currently hiring, with interested applicants directed to apply at jobs@go-pal.us.
This marks the first Go-Pal Supermarket location. Patel said he hopes to open two additional stores in New Jersey, with details expected within the next six months. Specific locations and timelines were not disclosed.
Woodbridge-based Levin Management Corporation is the managing agent for Inman Grove Shopping Center.
