Downtown Jackson has a multitude of dining options, with just a few of the locals’ favourites, from classic American to highly-endorsed Asian restaurants, listed here.

On the mountain, there’s a growing number of dining options. Until recently, on-hill eating has been much less of a thing in North America, compared to the multitude of family-run mountain refuges found in Europe. The base of the ski area, Teton Village, makes up for the dearth with everything from top-notch American pub classics at its après spots to finer dining in the hotels.

All our recommendations below have been hand selected by our ski expert to help you discover the best restaurants in Jackson Hole. Find out more below, or for more inspiration, see our guides to the resort’s best après ski.

Every local’s top-rated restaurant, the Steak Tartare Pizza comes highly recommended at Snake River. Best enjoyed after a martini, not two (you’re sat at nearly 2,000m in altitude so they pack some punch), sat at the heavy wood, impressively stocked bar. Jackson Hole’s heavily endorsed rustic-cum-fine dining restaurant should top the list.
