Londoners can get their hands on 100 free New York-style bagels this Friday as a new Mayfair bagel house celebrates its opening—with a hidden speakeasy also launching beneath it next week.
No. 1 Princes Street opened its doors on September 28, bringing a slice of New York’s iconic bagel scene to the heart of Mayfair.
The new 1,800 sq foot venue seats 80 guests, and the owners say it specialises in serving handcrafted, naturally fermented bagels baked fresh daily using traditional techniques.

As part of its opening week, No. 1 Princes Street will be giving away free handcrafted bagels to the first 100 guests through the doors on Friday, October 2 from 8am, first come, first served.
The menu is bringing a taste of the NYC deli counter to Mayfair, with classic bagels including plain, sesame, everything, and raisin alongside a line-up of fillings.
Breakfast favourites include smoked salmon and cream cheese, avocado and egg, and bacon and egg.

While lunchtime options include a salt beef melt, a fresh chicken club, and New York-inspired Reuben with stacks of smoked pastrami, grilled Swiss cheese, and fresh sauerkraut and pickles.

A classic New York-style build-your-own option lets guests create their perfect deli-style order, choosing from a selection of classic fillings, house-made spreads, and globally inspired flavours.
The menu is complemented by speciality coffee, matcha, and premium teas.
From October 8, a hidden speakeasy will open beneath it, giving Mayfair its own late-night nod to NYC’s underground bar scene.
The speakeasy will transport guests from London to the backstreets of New York, with a late-night menu and cocktail list inspired by the city’s legendary drinking spots.
The drinks menu features signatures including the No. 1 Princes Martini, Tomatini, Caviar Martini, and Vesper, alongside modern classics including the Mezcal Negroni, Limoncello Spritz, and Rhubarb Bellini.
Fine wines, Champagne, and craft beers will also be available, with live DJ sets taking over from Thursday to Saturday.
Whether it’s a New York-style bagel on the way to work, Champagne and carbs after shopping in Mayfair, or a Martini hidden away downstairs after dark, No. 1 Princes Street is bringing a little bit of NYC to W1, from breakfast to last orders.
No. 1 Princes Street’s Bagel House is open from Monday, September 28 at Mayfair, London, W1B 2AY, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to 6pm.
The speakeasy bar will open from October 8 and will run Tuesday to Saturday evenings.
