NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The owners of Hot Stuff on Maple St. have announced they will be closing their doors in October.
“Some big ol’ news y’all. It’s time for Hot Stuff to move on,” said a statement from the restaurant on Sept. 9. “We’ll be shutting our doors in a few weeks.”
They said they will be working to bring a “new home” to their recipes.
“I’m not willing to live without the pineapple habanero smoked wings, fried chicken, red beans, mac and cheese, and stewed chicken, so keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement about dishes like these and the team that cooks them making an exciting move soon. We’re looking at this as an opportunity rather than just a transition or shutter,” said a statement from the owners.
The owners said they will keep their doors open until the start of October.
“This fall, we have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to: as a group, we’re working on a plan for our chef/partners at Molly’s Rise and Shine and Hungry Eyes to become the majority owners of the restaurants they run; meanwhile, we’re growing our team at Turkey and the Wolf as we celebrate ten years,” they said.
