Most pumpkin patches celebrate the season.
But this year, Venetucci Farm’s Pumpkin Fest is celebrating a birthday.

The historic Colorado Springs farm is marking its 90th year the best way it knows how: by opening its fields, welcoming families and filling October weekends with pumpkins, hayrides, food trucks and fall festivities.
Because after nine decades, one thing hasn’t changed: everyone still needs the perfect pumpkin.
The monthlong celebration will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October at 5210 S. U.S. 85, with each weekend bringing a different theme to the patch.
Festivities begin with Oktoberfest this Saturday and Sunday, featuring a German beer garden and a stein-holding competition, followed by The Great Pumpkin Weekend Oct. 10-11 with pumpkin beer, cocktails and lemonade.
Scarecrows & Flannel takes over Oct. 17-18, while Witches & Wizards Weekend brings costumes and witch-themed shopping Oct. 24-25.
The celebration wraps up Oct. 30-31 with Costume Party & Pup-Kin Fest, the only weekend when dogs are allowed on the farm.
“A visit to the farm is more than picking the biggest pumpkin in the patch,” said Sam Clark, owner of Venetucci Farm. “It is about belonging to history. We are thrilled to kick off Pumpkin Fest in October, inviting kids, families and grown-ups to the farm — many of which share stories of multigenerational visits to this beloved community asset.”
Visitors can explore the farm, shop, enjoy food trucks, take hayrides, play kids games and snap fall photos. Admission is $8 for anyone older than 3, with pumpkins available for $10 regardless of size.
Pumpkin Fest is open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
