BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Fall has officially arrived in West Michigan.
Leaves are changing color and the temperature is dropping, so families in our area will bundle up and start thinking about how they’re going to celebrate their fall traditions.
Jolo Farms – Beck’s Hybrid in Battle Creek, just off of B Drive N, has expanded its services year after year to help people create new memories.
Families across West Michigan have memories of going to the pumpkin patch, running through corn mazes and going on hayrides, something owner Lauren Mullins is proud to provide.
Her husband, Jordan, started selling sweet corn in 2008.
As the business continued growing, Jordan expanded his sales, and the couple eventually turned Jolo Farms into what it is today.
“It’s kind of slowly growing, but we still want it to be that small farm field place,” Lauren Mullins said.
The farm also features a shop where different farm-to-table food items, maple products and baked goods are available.
There are also farm animals, a corn maze, and attractions for kids, including a bounce house.
“This is the perfect place to bring your kids,” Jeffery Dolbee, who has been visiting Jolo Farms since it opened, said. “Bounce house, all the activities. You can’t beat the people out here, from the workers, the family that owns it, it’s always been this place for us to go.”
Mullins told News Channel 3 the farm has a nostalgic feel.
“It’s very special to create those memories, to see people smiling, to see people making memories out here together,” she said. “That’s really what matters and we love seeing that. That’s why we’re here.”
Attractions at Jolo Farms are available until Oct. 31.
