Scene… The annual Joseph & Anthony Pellicci Memorial Golf Tournament took place at E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course in Stamford on Sept. 14. The annual event held in honor of Joseph and Anthony Pellicci featured a day of golf and lunch followed by dinner and an open bar at Pellicci’s Ristorante in Stamford. The family-owned Italian restaurant at 96 Stillwater Ave. in Stamford has been in service since 1947. Donations from the tournament benefited the Franciscan Order’s Mission of Our Lady of the Angels.
Out there… Le Sauvage Restaurant & Bar, a French American eatery, is expected to open this fall at the former location of MacDuff’s at 99 Railroad Ave. in Greenwich. Out there…Kneads Bakery Café will take helm at 20 Railroad Avenue in the new Greenwich train station and is expected to open in spring of 2027. The Westport-based original café owned by Daniel and Brittany Moreno opened in 2020 and a second location is due to open on the Post Road in Fairfield this month.
Scene… Greenwich resident and America’s favorite judge Judy Sheindlin was seen getting her car from the valet at The Delamar Greenwich last week.
Out there…Lunar has opened at 420 West Putnam Ave. in Greenwich at the former location of Panda Pavillion. The new Chinese restaurant is owned by Bill Xia, of STEAM on Greenwich Avenue and offers dining, a full bar and outdoor patio. For more information, call 203-869-1111.
Out there… Christ Church Greenwich Dogwood Books & Gifts is featuring a talk with New York Times Tech Columnist, author and co-host of “Hard Fork Podcast” Kevin Roose on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be moderated by Eric Donado, Managing Director of A.I. Scene…Greenwich resident and New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon was honored with the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award for the second time. The nomination recognizes his contributions and character on and off the field as well as his philanthropic efforts including the Rodon Foundation founded by Rodon and his wife Ashley, which supports couples facing infertility and pregnancy loss. The foundation’s annual Carlos Rodon Willow Gala took place in August at Skylight at The Refinery in New York City raising over $1,000,000 for the foundation.
Out there…Greenwich Historical Society’s Annual Fall Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 10 from noon to 3 p.m. at its campus on Strickland Road in Cos Cob. The festival will feature live bluegrass and swing music by Too Blue, cider and a mashed potato bar, family-friendly crafts, a scarecrow building competition, and a tour of the Bush-Holley House to learn about the fall harvest season in the 18th-century.
