On October 6, 2026, the Selection for the MICHELIN Guide Vancouver was revealed, spotlighting 16 restaurants that have received Bib Gourmand awards. These standout restaurants serve some of the most exciting and creative food in the city, all at a great value.

From Chinese and Indian, Vietnamese and Japanese to creative, contemporary cooking, there’s something for everyone in this list. There’s also a brand-new Bib Gourmand restaurant joining the ranks this year, as well as a newly promoted MICHELIN-recommended dining spot.

New Bib Gourmand Restaurant Kavita in Mount Pleasant joins the MICHELIN guide this year in the Bib Gourmand category. Here, Chef Tushar Tondvalkar approaches modern Indian fare with a delicate balance, while playing on the connection between food and personal memories. Given Tondvalkar’s Mumbai upbringing, the menu bridges time-honored Indian flavors and cooking techniques with ingredients grown in British Columbia. Dishes come in the form of small and large plates and include farm zucchini chaat (a fried dough street food snack) with spiced yogurt, tamarind and mint chutney; Tesfa Farm paneer saag served with mustard and chili tadka (spices bloomed in hot oil); and dry aged Fraser Valley duck curry.

Promoted Bib Gourmand Also making the Bib Gourmand list in 2026 is the former MICHELIN-recommended Chef’s Choice Seafood Restaurant. While the Cantonese restaurant in Fairview offers a few splurge items like the signature marinated chicken with black truffle sauce, Inspectors highlight what they call “great value dishes” such as steamed spareribs with garlic and blistered green beans with minced pork. Overall, they consider the lunch menu a “steal,” and a dim sum menu is also available.
