PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Feeding the Gulf Coast says it has already distributed nearly 350,000 pounds of food and emergency supplies to help communities hit hard by Hurricane Isaias in South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
The food bank is working with community partners to reach families dealing with days‑long power outages, storm damage, and unexpected expenses. Leaders say that even as the lights come back on, many households are now facing the cost of replacing spoiled food on top of other recovery bills.
People looking for food assistance can visit feedingthegulfcoast.org to find nearby food pantries and distribution sites. Because storm conditions and staffing can affect schedules, officials urge residents to call locations before heading out.
