Locally owned Saigon District brings a piece of Vietnam to Cypress
After owning two previous Cy-Fair area restaurants, Kim Kim and Pho Kim Kim, Saigon District Vietnamese Restaurant owner Huy Nguyen said he’s finally found a place where he belongs.
Nestled in the front of Fairfield is what Nguyen calls “a little piece of Saigon” in Cypress, his Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon District. Nguyen said the restaurant offers dishes influenced by the year he and his wife spent back home in Vietnam while construction on the restaurant was being completed, adding that the main focus of Saigon District is the food.
“We care about the customers and the quality, so if the food’s not ready, we don’t sell [it],” Nguyen said. “I want the quality exactly the same every time they come back. Exactly the same.”
