A great meal is never too far away in New Orleans.
In a city that prides itself on its neighborhood establishments, chances are there’s a good restaurant right down the street from your house. And with the weather cooling off, the fall is a good time to take a stroll for a meal at the spot around the corner or even head across town for something new.
In Gambit’s Fall Dining Issue, readers will find information about more than 275 restaurants in New Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard parishes and on the Northshore, all listed by neighborhood.
There are restaurants of all kinds, from places serving Japanese and Mediterranean menus to pizza joints and Caribbean spots. This edition also highlights restaurants serving Creole and Cajun dishes, including New Orleans institutions serving the classics to new establishments taking more contemporary approaches to traditional dishes.
The listings on the following pages include information about menus, hours of operation and service options, like delivery. And Gambit food writer Beth D’Addono recently spoke with celebrated New Orleans chef Frank Brigtsen about his new cookbook. Find her story here.
Enjoy! And remember to tip generously.
