A fast-casual chain known for build-your-own teriyaki bowls is setting up shop on Jeffersonville’s east side, with Teriyaki Madness confirmed to open a restaurant at 3546 E. 10th Street, Unit F. The Asian-inspired eatery specializes in made-to-order dishes built around Asian flavors, and this new spot will mark the brand’s second foothold in the Southern Indiana region.
The Jeffersonville announcement follows news that Teriyaki Madness is also opening a location at 1225 Veterans Parkway in Clarksville sometime in fall 2026, according to News and Tribune. Together, the two restaurants represent the chain’s first real push into the area, and the company behind the expansion isn’t shy about wanting more. Bass Group, which the outlet identifies as Teriyaki Madness’s exclusive representative in the market, said it is proud to serve as the brand’s exclusive partner here and anticipates bringing multiple additional locations to the area in the near future.
Why Bass Group Picked This Stretch of 10th Street
Bass Group also pointed to the practical appeal of the new site, saying the Jeffersonville location will be highly accessible along one of the area’s busiest thoroughfares. The company described Teriyaki Madness overall as an exciting and dynamic brand experiencing tremendous growth, and it told the News and Tribune that several additional Southern Indiana sites are already under consideration.
That growth ambition tracks with reporting from Louisville Business First, which noted earlier this year that the chain was planning multiple franchise locations across Southern Indiana and Kentucky. Nationally, Teriyaki Madness has grown to more than 150 locations spread across the United States, Canada and Mexico, as the Indianapolis Business Journal has reported.
What’s On The Menu
Teriyaki Madness built its identity on customizable teriyaki bowls, letting customers mix and match marinated meats and vegetables over rice or noodles. The chain says on its own menu page that it serves real food, made to order, with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Diners with dietary restrictions have options too. Teriyaki Madness offers vegetarian choices like tofu and vegetables, with some items available vegan upon request, and the company says many of its menu items can be made gluten-free, though availability can vary by location.
A Mixed Track Record In Indiana
Teriyaki Madness isn’t new to the state, and its history here has been uneven. The chain previously opened locations in Carmel and at Keystone at the Crossing in Indianapolis back in 2016, but both closed within a year, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal. More recent Indiana openings have fared better, with restaurants launching in Valparaiso in 2021 and in Newburgh in 2022.
The Valparaiso restaurant, opened by franchisees Haresh and Nikky Prithyani at 2502 Calumet Ave., has about 30 seats and plans to eventually add an outdoor patio with roughly six to eight more, per Teriyaki Madness’s own account of the opening. That location also employs about 18 people, with hopes of growing staffing to somewhere between 24 and 26 employees.
Indianapolis is also seeing renewed interest from the chain. The Indianapolis Business Journal reports a location is planned at 8545 S. Emerson Ave. on the city’s southeast side near Interstate 65 and County Line Road, expected to open in May, with the franchisee behind that project expecting 70% of meals to be eaten off site rather than in the dining room. No opening date, staffing details or seating counts have been announced yet for the Jeffersonville restaurant.
