Grecian Family Restaurant in Spring Hill is reopening Wednesday, Oct. 21, with “a new look, a new chef, a new menu and new cooks,” following a five-day closure that has fueled speculation that Gordon Ramsay was filming at the restaurant. More Eat & Drink News

A large tent was set up outside the restaurant, located at 2003 Wall St., this week. The restaurant announced on social media that it would be closed from Oct. 16 through Oct. 20 for “equipment maintenance and a few changes around the restaurant.”

In a follow-up post, the restaurant teased the reopening, saying “something big is coming to Grecian’s.” A soft opening will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 11 a.m., with breakfast only. The restaurant said its breakfast menu is not changing and invited customers to “come and see what is changing.”

Social media users have speculated that Ramsay was filming at the restaurant. A casting call posted in a Nashville Reddit thread sought diners for a filmed service at a restaurant renovation show in what it called its “final Tennessee location this year.” The post said the show’s name could not be shared because of nondisclosure agreements. It asked interested diners to put “Spring Hill” in the subject line of their message. The post does not name Grecian Family Restaurant.

Neither the restaurant nor Ramsay’s team has confirmed that filming took place at the restaurant.

Ramsay was also reported to have been spotted at Vuocolo’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar in Ashland City, which also announced a closure of a few days. Ramsay and his team have not announced a new show in production.

We reported in July that a casting company issued a call for struggling restaurants within a 40-mile radius of Nashville to appear on an unnamed show with Ramsay.
