According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, New Jersey is expected to see a fall season that’s a little cooler and a little drier than what we typically experience. That could make for some beautiful days to enjoy everything we love about autumn without sweating through a hoodie.
Cooler Temperatures Could Arrive Earlier
The Almanac places New Jersey in the Atlantic Corridor region, where September and October are expected to average about 1 degree cooler than normal.
One degree may not sound like much, but after another hot summer, many of us will gladly welcome cooler mornings, comfortable afternoons, and evenings that finally call for a light jacket.
It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to open the windows, take a walk on the beach, or spend the afternoon wandering through a pumpkin patch.
A Little Less Rain Is Expected
The New Jersey forecast also calls for slightly drier conditions, with rainfall expected to total about an inch less than what’s typical during the season.
Of course, this doesn’t mean New Jersey won’t see rain. Fall storms will still happen, but the overall outlook points toward fewer soggy weekends and more opportunities to enjoy outdoor festivals, football games, and apple orchards.
