MERIDIAN, ID — Stinker Stores have launched their 16th annual “Stomp Out Hunger” campaign, raising money to support The Idaho Foodbank and families experiencing food insecurity across the state.
The statewide fundraiser runs through Saturday, Oct. 31, with customers able to round up their purchases or make donations of any amount at participating Stinker Store locations.
Stinker Stores will match customer donations dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.
According to The Idaho Foodbank, a $10 donation can help provide food for up to 20 meals. The organization serves an average of 200,000 Idahoans each month.
PepsiCo is also participating in the campaign by matching donations collected at the Stinker Store location that raises the most money from customers.
The Idaho Foodbank operates facilities in Lewiston, Meridian and Pocatello, distributing food through a network of more than 400 community partners, including food pantries, schools, senior centers and shelters.
During its last fiscal year, the organization provided food for more than 22 million meals to Idahoans facing food insecurity.
Customers can contribute to the campaign at participating Stinker Stores through Oct. 31.
