Whole Foods Market will open a new 37,636-square-foot store ahead of Thanksgiving at 1051 Steam Ave. in Midlothian, Virginia. The location is the retailer’s third in the greater Richmond area and 17th in Virginia, and will be led by Store Team Leader India Lawal. Doors open at 8 a.m. on opening day, Nov. 19; regular hours will be 8 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

The store’s design blends Virginia’s Colonial architectural heritage with modern aesthetics, using locally sourced wood, stone and brick, along with open architecture and a warm color palette, the Austin, Texas-based retailer said.

The assortment features more than 390 local items from Virginia and neighboring states, sourced with the help of Lillian Huber, forager for local and emerging brands.
