I have eaten my way through almost every corner of New York City, but nothing prepared me for the flavor explosion happening right now in Murray Hill. We went all out at Wolfnights, our absolute favorite wrap spot in the city. The moment you walk up to the counter, you realize this is not your typical lunch joint. They make every single wrap starting with fresh, house-made dough pressed and grilled right in front of your eyes on a blazing hot iron dome. The smell alone is unreal.

First up, the Dire Wolf wrap. Watch this dough get pressed. It is made with fresh ginger. Then it hits that sizzling iron dome until it is perfectly charred and stretchy. Inside, they pile on fresh mixed greens, their signature Wolf Ketchup, papaya slaw, spicy pickled peppers, crispy fried chicken, and savory lamb bacon. Then comes the melted cheddar cheese. Look at that cheese pull! Drenched in extra sauce, it gets rolled tight and sliced. The crunch from the chicken against that sweet ginger dough is out of this world. We have been devouring this exact wrap for years, and it never misses.

Next on the line was The Howling. This one features a date and pumpkin seed dough grilled to perfection. In go crisp greens, creamy mint yogurt sauce, sweet melon, salty feta cheese, fried pickles, and a massive scoop of juicy grilled chicken. Sweet, salty, and ultra refreshing. One bite and you understand why it is one of their top sellers.

Then we hit The Beast. A vibrant yellow turmeric dough hits the dome. They layer it with red chili mayo, fresh cilantro, marinated green olives, blue cheese, crunchy barbecue chips, and heaps of tender grilled steak. The steak is ridiculously juicy. The crunch from those chips? Elite.

We did not stop there. The Brothers Grimm brings chestnut and chili dough packed with chipotle aioli, pickled shiitake mushrooms, plantain chips, raisins, and seasoned grilled chicken. Then came The Carnivore’s Delight, stacked with juicy steak, a fried egg, sumac onions, pickles, and horseradish mustard sauce. Pure breakfast-for-dinner perfection.

For plant-based eaters, The Himalayan is a game-changer. Grilled seitan, spicy pickled pineapple, kohlrabi, and vegan chili aioli wrapped inside hot ginger dough. Even as a meat lover, I was blown away.

To finish, we tackled The Pack wrap. Bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, tater tots, melted cheddar, and jalapeños, fully smothered in red chili mayo and creamy sage aioli. Absolute saucy perfection. If you find yourself in Manhattan, do not sleep on this spot.
