Sally’s Apizza will open its Newington restaurant at 3329 Berlin Turnpike on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m., giving the New Haven pizzeria its third location in Hartford County.

Reservations are now open for lunch and dinner starting Oct. 29, the company said Tuesday.

Sally’s entered the Hartford market in August 2024 with a restaurant at The Borden apartments on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. It followed in 2025 with a location inside Jordan’s Furniture at Westfarms mall in Farmington. A South Windsor restaurant was under construction as of early this year, according to the company’s development plan.

The Newington restaurant has more than 100 seats in its dining room, plus a 12-seat bar. A 30-seat patio will open in the spring. Along with its coal-fired pizza, the restaurant serves pastas, entrees and salads, and it will offer takeout, catering and private events.

It will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio founded Sally’s on New Haven’s Wooster Street in 1938. Lineage Hospitality bought the business in December 2017 and opened its first new location in Stamford in 2021.

Sally’s lists seven open restaurants in Connecticut and Massachusetts on its website. It is also developing locations in Norwalk’s SoNo Collection, Boston’s Seaport District, Danbury and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, along with sites in Rhode Island, New York and Florida.

The company’s long-term plan calls for 255 restaurants across 12 states, including 15 in Connecticut and 45 in Texas, on the way to a goal of more than 1,000 locations nationwide.
