Cult ice cream brand Big Kid is bringing a run of chaos to Peckham. Following the launch of its nostalgic soft-serve spot, Whippies, it’s now bringing a new Meal Deal series. It will see three one-day pop-ups land at its Peckham HQ – each taking a fast-food classic and reimagining it with a Big Kid twist, with every event doubling as the launch (and collection point) for a new ice cream tub drop.

It kicks off on Saturday 31st October with BKFC, a finger-lickin’ Halloween take on KFC: Kentucky Fried Donuts, popcorn chicken, cheesy cowboy beans and Krushems-style shakes, alongside the launch of Big Kid’s sundae-inspired Core Collection tubs. Next, on Saturday 21st November, comes the McDonald’s-inspired ‘Meal of Happiness’: all-day breakfast muffins, ‘Trash Browns’ and BKFlurrys, plus – because no Meal of Happiness is complete without one – a novelty toy with every meal, revealed on the day. It also lands on Godzilla Day – a nod to founder Harry Webb’s love of the monster franchise – so there’s a three-tub ‘Godzilla’ collection of Asian-inspired flavours (matcha butter cake, ube blueberry muffin, yuzu marshmallow, black sesame) to buy and collect on site.

The series then wraps on Saturday 12th December with a festive finale: a roast dinner sarnie with all the Big Kid-coded bells and whistles, and a Shrek-inspired final tub drop featuring flavours like ‘Fairy Godmother’ and ‘Get Out My Swamp’. Each Meal Deal is £25, there’s limited-edition merch, and the whole series raises funds for the Big Kid Foundation youth and community charity.
