Bears might be known for loving honey, but that’s apparently not the only delicacy they want to try. This bear clearly deserves a job writing honest reviews of the local hotspots. “PSA: Aspen’s newest restaurant critic has arrived,” the video’s text jokes. We will read every one!
In the clip, this ursine eats straight off the table, not even worrying about getting crumbs on the floor. Restaurant-goers in the background smartly steered clear of the big guy. At least let him finish his meal. “He’s a paying customer,” @MM199012 quipped.
As the top comment from @REHS pointed out, “It is sad that they have to resort to this to survive!” Recent weather conditions in Colorado have led bears to increasingly search for food in cities and other heavily populated areas. But what do you do if you spot one in your neighborhood or at a restaurant? Read on for more.

What To Do if a Bear Wanders Into a Public Space
Ask anyone in Colorado, and they’ll tell you: Bears are everywhere. It’s not just people noticing more of these beasties. They are heading into town more frequently, and that’s not a good thing. While it’s important for bears to fatten up for winter, encounters with humans can lead to bad outcomes on both sides.
It hopefully goes without saying, but don’t intentionally feed bears (we’re not sure what to tell you about them eating off your plate at a restaurant). At home, ensure that bird feeders, pet dishes, and trash are stored away in safe locations where they won’t attract wildlife.
If you do run into a bear, whether out on the town or in a park, remain calm (easier said than done, of course). Do identify yourself by talking and waving your arms without moving the rest of your body, but don’t scream or run. Generally, bears just want a snack and will saunter off, leaving you to make your own escape.
