OKLAHOMA CITY —
Oklahoma City is one step closer to getting a Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen as plans for the popular restaurant are moving forward.
In 2024, rezoning was approved to bring the seafood chain to northwest Oklahoma City. Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen had to reapply for permits in 2025, and those plans just got the green light this week.
Oklahoma’s first Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is now planned to open on the southeast corner of Lake Hefner Parkway and the Kilpatrick Turnpike. It’s unknown when the restaurant will open.
There are 38 Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen locations in eight states nationwide.
More about Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
The Pappas family’s story started in 1897 when H.D. Pappas came to America from Greece. According to Pappadeaux’s website, he brought a passion for quality and service that became a benchmark for success, opening restaurants in Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas.
H.D. Pappas’s sons entered the restaurant equipment and supply business, opening Pappas Refrigeration in 1945. His grandsons, though, got the family back into the restaurant game as they opened their first location in 1976.
