Ann Arbor – A hustling and bustling Saturday in downtown Ann Arbor…family…friends…tailgating and the “The Victors” blaring…it’s the perfect way to usher in the 147th season of Michigan Football.
With a new head coach and some new players, the game day eats are also getting a roster update.
Levy is beginning a 10-year contract with the University of Michigan Athletic Department and is looking to make a splash in its first year.
One of the biggest changes fans will experience is a “grab and go” format at all concession stands. The goal is to get fans fueled up with food and drink and back to their seats quickly so they don’t miss any of the big plays on the field.
The new concession vendor also says it has upgraded all the concession stands to include cooking technology so all of the food will be freshly made at each stand.
One of the big name concession items fans won’t see this season at any University of Michigan Athletics venue is Buddy’s Pizza. The Detroit-based pizza chain opted not to renew its contract with the university.
Madison Heights-based Hungry Howies has signed a contract with the university to be the official pizza vendor at all University of Michigan Athletics events.
