A local Sioux Falls restaurant might look a different nowadays, but their mission to welcome everyone to the table hasn’t waivered.
Sioux Falls Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen was previously located at the Jones421 Building. They have since moved into the former Umami Cafe & Catering space near Sioux Falls Regional Airport kitchen at Signature Aviation. Owners admit a lot has changed, but one of their signature events will continue this holiday season.

Sioux Falls Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen will host the 4th Annual Friendsgiving the day before Thanksgiving on Wednesday, November 25th. Owners confirmed the news in a Facebook Live video.

The 4th Annual Friendsgiving is free and welcomes strangers to come together to enjoy a good, home cooked meal.
We’re hosting our FREE Friendsgiving dinner because everyone deserves a table to belong at. No cost. No expectations. Just good food and good people.
Everyone is welcome! Families, individuals, kids, neighbors, everyone. NO RSVP, NO requirements.
Whether you need a meal or just want some company, we’d love to have you!
In the Facebook Live video, owners explain that life at Sioux Falls Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen has changed. They even debated about cancelling Friendsgiving all together since they don’t have big enough space. But luckily, they found a new location in Downtown Sioux Falls at the Labor Temple. This wouldn’t be possible without AFSCME Local 519 Sioux Falls City & Local 1025 Sioux Falls Schools who are sponsoring the free event.
