Girl dinners, adult happy meals, or plain and simple meal deals – whatever you want to call them, these pre-planned dinners take the guesswork out and are made to satisfy when cravings hit. Here are three places around the city that serve up some great specials.
Osteria Pizzeria
892 Oak St.
This relatively new corner spot in Olde Towne East is the place to be and one of the hottest reservations around. They are best known for their Numero Uno pizza with scoops of ricotta on top (or maybe that’s just what I know them for because it’s seriously delicious), but they also have a little-known secret on their menu. On Sundays, you can get lasagna, a half salad, and focaccia for $18. This does not include drinks to enjoy while you dine, but they are well worth exceeding the $18 for because they are just that good. My favorite is the Sgroppino – prosecco and limoncello over lemon sorbet. It’s refreshing and light and everything you could ask for on a hot summer day.

Brass Eye
77 Belle St.
On Wednesdays, we don’t just wear pink; we also go to Brass Eye on the top floor of the Junto Hotel to enjoy girl dinner. From 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., you can order the “girl dinner” and choose from several drink options, including an espresso martini (or dirty if that’s up your alley) and a crisp, chilled white, to name a few of them. Along with your drink of choice, you get a Caesar salad, a cup of parmesan French fries, and raspberry sorbet to round out the meal on a sweet note. Enjoy your girl dinner with a view of the city for just $25.
Metsi’s
36 E. Lincoln St.
This Short North favorite is now offering up “dinner for two” on its online menu, meaning you don’t even have to get dressed up to enjoy this special. A comfort meal from the comfort of your own home and cozy clothes might be just as fun as dressing up for a night on the town. If you order this meal, you can expect house-made focaccia and ricotta, a Caesar salad, two entrees, and tiramisu for $65. Your entrée options include Eggplant Parmesan, Chef’s Famous Bolognese, Radiatori Alla Amatriciana, and Golden Tomato Arrabiata. If you spend $10 more, you can opt in to the lamb chops for your meal.
While this option doesn’t include drinks to pair with all of your courses, make a stop at your local wine bar on the way home from picking up dinner to get a fun drink to share and make a night out of it.
