We recently asked CharlotteFive readers how much a restaurant’s atmosphere matters when you go out to eat in Charlotte. You told us it’s about more than just what’s on the plate.
Noise level, lighting and seating all play a role in whether a restaurant makes for a great night out, readers said. And while a little background noise can add to the energy of a place, nobody — especially me — wants to shout across the table just to have a conversation.
The right lighting and comfortable seating can also make a difference, whether you’re meeting friends, going on a date or catching up with family.
So now we want to know: Which Charlotte restaurants get the atmosphere right?
Maybe it’s a cozy spot with soft lighting and comfortable booths. Or a vibrant restaurant with live music. Or maybe it’s somewhere with a patio that makes you want to linger after the meal is over.
Great vibes can also come down to the waitstaff – attentive service can make an already good dining experience even better.
What do you think?
We want to hear from you.
Which restaurants in Charlotte have the best vibes, and what makes them stand out? Tell us where you go when the atmosphere matters just as much as the food.
Let us know in the poll below, and we’ll share the results.
